London Festival of Close-Up Magic 2019 gets underway!

Magic settles over the capital this summer as the UK’s foremost sleight of hand artists perform hour-long close-up shows in a unique festival in Piccadilly Circus. Limited to 36 seats per show, this is a rare chance to rub shoulders with some of the giants of the close-up magic world, as seen on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, The Next Great Magician, and France’s Got Talent, in an opulent and evocative setting. Hosted by the 5 star Le Meridien Piccadilly, guests can also enjoy not only the show, but further close-up magic into the night by award winning members of The Magic Circle at Maskelyne & Cooke – London’s only close-up magic bar.

Nick Einhorn and Laura London have both enjoyed sell out shows and 5 star reviews, getting the Festival of Close-Up Magic off to a flying start. Things are set to ramp up though as we enjoy performances from Will Houstoun, Michael Vincent, Dominick Zwolinski. Finally we finish with a bang as France's Got Talent star David Stone jets in on the 10th of August - his run sold out last year at the Leicester Square Theatre. It's a unique opportunity to enjoy top class magic closer than ever before, and rub shoulders with some of the magic's top professionals.

With only 3 rows of audience everyone gets a good view, and the opulent Oak Lounge of Le Meridien with it's stunning chandeliers is a wonderful place to enjoy magic. Don't miss out as some artists are only there for one night. Resident magicians perform weekly at Maskelyne & Cooke Wednesday / Thursday from 6:30 - 10pm, and Friday / Saturday 7:30 - 11pm. Why not catch one of our upcoming shows, and catch up with your friends in the bar after. The menu features a series of cocktails inspired by Egyptian Hall on Piccadilly, and the Golden Age of Magic in London.

It's been great to have support from the magic community too, and amazing to see so many familiar faces. It's a great buzz at the Festival of Close-Up Magic - get down there and see for yourself! Last few tickets are available at https://www.magichourshow.com/london-festival-of-close-up-magic
